The e-mail message below was sent by a teacher from the Lindenhurst School District. Her single aim was to make sure that the East Islip School District  budget passed without regard to it's harmful economic impact on our community.

Well, let's see what her motivations were...

Hmmm, what  a coincidence, her husband is a teacher and a coach in the East Islip School District!

Hmmm, what are these individuals motivations?

Pat Flamio - Teacher,  Plainedge School District
Lisa Ancona - Teacher, Lindenhurst School District
Joseph Ancona - Teacher, East Islip School District
Laura Rigo - Teacher, Little Trees School District
Teri Lyons -  East Islip Board of Education Trustee

WERE THESE INDIVIDUALS TRULY "CONCERNED PARENTS"? OR SPECIAL INTERESTS PLOTTING THE UNION'S AGENDA? NOW WE KNOW!

THE TRUTH IS OUT - "CONCERNED" PARENTS IS A FRONT FOR THE UNION !

THEY GOT THEIR GUY IN AND THEY GOT THEIR CONTRACT!!!

Fellow neighbors, friends, parents, and families, We urge you to consider the shortsightedness that has brought our community to this place in time. Shortsightedness that has resulted in a situation that is no longer sustainable.

WE CAN'T AFFORD IT ANY MORE!!!

A 20% increase in just 2 years?

What did our kids get?
Year 1
No sports (Varsity paid for by voluteers)
Limited Clubs
Limited curiculum
No Science Labs in Elementary and MS
No Library usage in Elementary Schools

Year 2
Limited sports programs
Limited electives available
Limited curiculum

PLEASE, NO MORE INCREASES!!!

To All,

As you are all aware, budget time is near.  We should all attend the following meetings to show our support in numbers for the upcoming budget vote.

Tuesday, March 13th - Board Meeting 8:00 at ECC/District Office

Wednesday, March 14th - Booster Club Meeting 7:30  - H.S. Cafeteria

Thursday, March 22nd- Budget Workshop- 7:00 @ ECC/District Office

These dates are also available on the district website:  www.eischools.org

We want everyone to come together and inform our "neighbors" about next years budget.  Pat Flamio is working on getting a conference room at the EI Library (time and date to follow) to discuss strategies on passing the budget.  This will be a CLOSED meetiing to those only on this email - or any Pro-active FRIENDS you may have. We DO NOT want an OPEN meeting.  (Technically any meeting at the library is open to the public, therefore, we want to keep it to just US!)

At this  meeting we will discuss how we NEED Volenteers to help make phone calls for the upcoming vote!!!!!!  (Information to follow)

I know we all have busy lives. . . . Let's try to fit these meetings into our schedules so we can PREVENT this from happening AGAIN next year!!!!!!!!

 Hugs & Kisses,

 Lisa

STEVE AND KIM LEVY . . . . Pass this on to Susie. I'm sure she'll want to help out!

                              (keep it on the hush)

SOME QUESTIONS FROM SCHOOLWATCH:

WHY CLOSED/PRIVATE MEETINGS AT A PUBLIC LIBRARY?

WHY ARE BOE MEMBERS MEETING IN PRIVATE WITH SPECIAL INTERESTS?  DID YOU FORGET THAT YOU REPRESENT THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY AND NOT THE SPECIAL INTERESTS OF THE UNION!!!
